Gluten-free baked doughnuts

Make delicious round doughnuts that are baked – not fried.
Makes 6 pieces

Doughnut Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups Almond flour
  • ¼ tsp. Baking soda
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 3 Eggs
  • ¼ cup Butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp. Maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla

Topping Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Butter, melted
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp. Cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350˚F
  2. Prepare the doughnut pan by greasing it
  3. Place all the doughnut ingredients in a food processor and combine thoroughly.
  4. Divide mixture among the six doughnut wells.
  5. Bake for 11-13 minutes or until golden and doughnuts start to pull away from sides of pan.
  6. Allow to cool in pan for 5 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile prepare the doughnut topping: Melt butter in a shallow dish and combine sugar and cinnamon in a second shallow dish.
  8. Dip warm doughnut in melted butter followed by sugar / cinnamon mixture. Repeat for remaining doughnuts.
